Meet The TempWorks Management Team
The TempWorks senior management team has their head in the clouds, or cloud as it were, innovating, evolving, and figuring out the next generation of staffing software. They are also firmly focused on contenting clients, engaging employees as well as growing organically. This year they will bring TempWorks technology to staffing firms outside the commercial niche, including medical, professional, IT and direct placement.
Gregg Dourgarian, Founder & Chairman
Gregg wrote the first TempWorks software as a teenager in 1975 with his staffing pioneer father who founded Manpower’s technical and payroll operations. He also built an airline software company. Its product, Supertrace, helps keep airline reservation systems running smoothly worldwide. Gregg holds an honors degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College.
David Dourgarian, President & CEO
Having literally grown up immersed in the staffing software business, David’s first official role with the company was as an implementer, where he worked with hundreds of clients. After several years on the road, and a succession of roles and increasing responsibilities, he was named President of the company in 2008. One of his first moves was to start a payroll funding division at TempWorks, and he began lending money to staffing companies, that up until that time only had technology discussions with TempWorks. Four years later, the overall business had grown to twice the size of the pre-recession peak, 15 million dollars was loaned out to customers, hundreds of millions of dollars in payroll was being processed annually through the outsourcing unit, and software deals were coming in weekly. After growing the bench strength of senior management with several key hires, the decision was made to begin using a cloud TempWorks database for larger clients, and with that came a change and evolution in the staffing software license distribution strategy. David’s goal now is to eliminate the need for a TempWorks customer to have to “upgrade” to a new version of the system they purchased. The company has a firm and broad foundation for growth, and is adding revenue, headcount, as well as new products and services in 2014.
Mari Kautzman, Chief Operating Officer
With dual degrees in math and accounting, Mari ascended rapidly within TempWorks, going from tax specialist to Chief Operating Officer. Her superb organizational and communication skills are often utilized for client work, such as when she led a highly successful conversion of a public bank’s payroll funding arm from Oracle to TempWorks.
Paul Czywczynski, Chief Technology Officer
An Internet security consultant to the financial industry and master software developer, Paul transformed TempWorks offerings into an award-winning WPF suite. Before coming to TempWorks, Paul led the MIS department of a large staffing company where he developed a first-generation suite of web-based staffing software solutions.
Maria Dourgarian, CFO/Controller/Financial Software Developer
Maria grew up in the staffing software business, and develops financial software while overseeing the accounting staff at TempWorks’ funding and payroll processing divisions.
Casey Kraus, Vice President, Sales
With the well-earned nickname the “Revenue Machine,” Casey has become a key connector at TempWorks and throughout the staffing community. He crafts remarkable marketing and growth solutions for staffing companies and brings strong process-oriented leadership to TempWorks.
Melanie Kramer, Vice President, Client Services
Melanie Kramer joined TempWorks in 2001 as an office manager and has since been promoted through nearly every human resources, finance, and technical support role that TempWorks offers. As Vice President of Client Services she manages a large staff of technical support specialists and serves as a first responder for urgent client needs.
Susan Wurst, Vice President, Account Management
Susan’s staffing industry career includes 15 years in progressive roles working for an innovative staffing software firm where she oversaw Implementation, Sales, Support, Product Management, and Account Management, as well as four years working for a large national staffing firm and three years as an HR manager for a contract security company. She was actively involved in several hundred successful software implementations before joining TempWorks in 2012. Her operational expertise and ability to see a challenge from all sides makes her the ideal person to head up our Account Management, Training and Report Writing teams.
Elizabeth James, Regional Vice President, Sales
Following a four year stint in recruiting and account management for a national staffing firm, Elizabeth joined TempWorks as a trainer in 2010. She eventually led that department, where she regularly assisted the sales team with their presentations. So it was a seamless transition to move over to sales herself, where she says she loves to help staffing professionals become more efficient and productive through software.
Rich Petersen, Regional Vice President, Sales
Working from Atlanta, Rich brings a diverse staffing background to TempWorks. A patient and steady producer, Rich guides staffing companies large and small to the payroll funding and software solutions that best suit their needs.
Claudette Dunlap, Regional Vice President, Sales
Also working from the Atlanta area, Claudette has guided hundreds of staffing companies through successful software implementations during a career that began as a Manpower branch manager, included a role as sales leader at another big national, and led to senior roles at innovative staffing software firms before joining TempWorks in 2012. She also happens to be an accomplished orchestral pianist.
