The On-the-Job-Training program was established using funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed into law by President Barack Obama on February 17, 2009.

The Program

On-the-Job-Training (http://www.reporterherald.com/news_story.asp?ID=23243) is a free six-week training program aimed at providing workers with the skills and resources necessary to secure long term employment in highway maintenance and construction positions. Targeted towards women and minorities, the program is funded by the Federal Highway Administration through a competitive grant process.
