
Job Summary:
At TempWorks, the Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that our clients are happy with their chosen technology and services partner. TempWorks has 99% customer retention and maintains this by pairing each new client with an Account Manager who knows and understands their profit model, staff, and growth needs. An Account Manager is responsible for fielding a call from an upset customer who is unable to resolve a payroll software issue. Also, an AM is responsible for calling their clients to help pitch a new company initiative, such as an upgrade to software systems or an additional service. This could include payroll processing, payroll funding, or new onboarding technology. Account Managers are also responsible for negotiating with their clients on behalf of TempWorks. Topics could include contract modifications, disputed bills or discounts for large volume purchases.
General Responsibilities:
- Learn the temporary staffing industry and manage a geographic territory of existing TempWorks Accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clientele to ensure customer enthusiasm of TempWorks Software & service offerings through fielding calls and conducting on-site client visits
- Listen to clients when they experience a service issue, or are interested in adopting a new product, and find ways to make the partnership stronger
- Sell upgrades, services, and add on products to existing customer base within their territory
- Identify any accounts that may be in jeopardy and work with the Director of Account Management to formulate and execute a plan of action
- Deliver any mass communication that must be released to the TempWorks client base through either mass emails, individual emails, or phone calls
- Provide project management on company-wide initiatives such as yearend W2 processing, retirement of products, and new Federal regulations that affect the software and client base
- Submit product enhancement requests and open support tickets for issues brought to their attention from all relevant communication with the client
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Advanced understanding of Account Management procedures and systems such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software
- Ability to work independently
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an Account Management or similar role, preferably in a software/technology company
- Ability to use CRM software
- Ability to effectively interact with various levels of management and staff both externally with clients and also within the TempWorks organization
- Temporary Staffing or Recruiting industry and sales experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
- Ability to travel onsite to visit clients up to 30% of the time
