Our History
Founded in 1997 by Gregg Dourgarian, TempWorks Software was created on the foundation of a long family history in the staffing industry. In the 1960s, Gregg’s father started the technical services division of one of the nation’s largest staffing companies. In response to the growing demand for a software platform that staffing agencies could leverage to recruit and track applicants, Gregg started TempWorks Software and wrote the first TempWorks module.
David Dourgarian, Gregg’s son, joined TempWorks full-time in 2006 as a software implementer and became TempWorks’ president in 2008. He was named CEO in 2012. Today, TempWorks offers clients staffing software, payroll processing, payroll funding, and a time and attendance solution all in one system.
In 2017, TempWorks was recognized for its phenomenal growth by winning a coveted spot on the Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing, privately-held companies. This was the sixth year TempWorks was honored. In addition, TempWorks was honored as a 2016 Bronze Stevie® Award winner for Great Employers in the Talent Acquisition and Retention Solution Provider of the Year category.
