The TempWorks team presided over an interactive booth in the expo hall where curious attendees could familiarize themselves with our latest offerings, including HIRE, a simplified recruitment management tool that focuses exclusively on professional and direct hires and CONNECT, a comprehensive CRM tool. On that first evening (Oct. 27th), the Staffing World crowd packed in to hear keynote speaker Stephen J. Dubner, economist and author of the blockbuster book series, “Freakonomics,” which explores “the hidden side of everything.”
After the opening reception, about a hundred TempWorks prospects and customers wandered over to Findley’s, an Irish pub within the hotel. There, TempWorks provided a Southern barbecue dinner and live music by Brassfield Aly, a lively country trio. (This was Nashville, after all…We even composed some country songs of our own*). The pub was brimming with smart and driven people, many of whom were impressed by our crew’s knowledge and approachability. Click Here to see a time lapse video of the event.
Over the remaining two days, hundreds of people found value in specific panel discussions and interactive sessions. The most practical and timely session, however, was probably the one that dealt with the avoidance of ACA filing mistakes; it was standing-room only. We were also excited to inform people about our carefully-crafted ACA management tools, and 1094/1095 capability. TempWorks customers in attendance were relieved with the realization that their software company would be handling this for them.
A few days after the event ended, on Oct. 29th, people were still thinking about all they had learned. One fan tweeted: “Thanks to the great folks at @TempWorks, thanks for spending time answering all our questions at #StaffingWorld.”
